Job Description

Vice President of Network Development and Contracting

SUMMARY

Responsible for recruitment, contracting, training, and ongoing maintenance of the provider network.

Recruits needed specialists in targeted market areas as required by business needs.

Manage the negotiation, development and execution of contracts with physicians, pharmacies and other ancillary service providers within state and federal, legal and regulatory requirements.   

Work with Company’s Legal Counsel, COO, Clinical Services, and Sales & Marketing.

Responsible for the physician and pharmacy credentialing and re-credentialing process to ensure that providers meet Company licensing and accreditation requirements.

Develop training materials, arrange venues (e.g., webinars), and travel to physician and pharmacy locations train staff on systems and procedures.

Manage provider network competitive analyses in identified markets.

Attend and participate in sales meetings.

Management responsibility.  

Responsible for direction and evaluation of the network development. Interview, hire, and train employees. 

Requirements

Minimum 10 years healthcare experience in network recruitment, contract negotiations, pricing, credentialing, pharmaceutical sales or equivalent. 

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time required.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment.

Strong analytical skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
