Job Description

Office Coordinator

Duties:

  • Performs receptionist, scheduling and clerical duties. 
  • Must be able to understand all of the concepts involved in the job specific standards. 
  • Answer telephones promptly and courteously.
  • Schedule patient appointments in EPIC for various specialized services within the Division.
  • Schedule and complete a full registration for all appointments.
  • Remind patients of referrals and/or copays for appointments.
  • Retrieve voicemails and route messages to nurse, inpatient service attending or provider's coordinator, according to specific issue.
  • Provide back-up telephone coverage to division secretaries, as needed.
  • Perform reception activities by responding to inquiries, assisting the customers courteously and in accordance with departmental and divisional procedures.

Skills:

  • Strong telephone skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Able to multi-task
  • Experience with EPIC.

Education:

  • High School graduate
  • 3-5 years experience as a clinic coordinator or administrative assistant.
