Job Description

Large healthcare network seeks a Chief Medical Officer to plan, review, and supervise the medical and health services of their long term care and post-acute rehabilitation center in their Brooklyn facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulates policies, methods, procedures, and prescribes standards for treatment, diagnosis, control and prevention of illness, as well as, supervising methods of delivery and evaluating patient care.
  • Manage and coordinate physician services and the services provided by other professionals as they relate to patient care and will oversee the quality of radiology, pharmacy, and lab services.
  • Participates in decision making and recommends and approves relevant policies and procedures and will be responsible for communicating issues and concerns to system clinical leadership when warranted.
  • Work with the organized medical staff and administration to ensure high value and high quality of care is delivered to patients.
  • Collaborate with system physician leadership on new programs and their integration into the post-acute care service line.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with at least 2 years in Post-Acute Care Rehab or Long Term Care.
  • Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
  • A Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience on a post acute care or long term care setting.
