Admissions Census Analyst

Maintains accurate resident records with regards to Admissions/Discharges/Transfers daily.

Enters, and runs daily Admissions/Discharges/Transfers and Daily Census, Bed Board, Hospital Reports, Sigma Census Tracking  and Census Grid for all departments daily.

Responsible for data management of reports and accuracy related to census.

Will perform basic and more extensive statistical analysis on datasets as needed.

Notifies Finance Department to contact families regarding bed hold daily.

Responsible for Census reconciliation. Complete Census Reconciliation report form for auditors with compliance with State, and Federal regulations and post to Public Folders.

Maintains and documents Leave of Absence and Hospital stays for Residents bed hold per State requirements.

Collect summarize, enter data and run statistical reports on monthly/weekly and annual basis for NYSDOH, other regulatory agencies and internal Departments including but not limited to Civil Rights Survey, Q&A Quarterly Report, Residential Healthcare Facility Cost Report and list of admissions.

Validates all admission entries for accuracy in the system including demographics, contact information, resident insurance, census activity and facility defined fields.

Enters patient admitting information into computer and routes printed copy to designated department.

Provide information for the Respite Program, process reservations, maintain wait list, ensure application is completed and process admission.

Maintains the confidentiality of all data collected.

Maintains and orders office supplies.

Processes timecards weekly.

Processes documents and materials related to admissions.

Processes morning report and Admission Log.

The ability to maintain accurate and confidential data collected.


3 years of data/statistical experience

Expert at Excel; specifically Pivot tables and be computer savvy.

Must have great communication skills and can present and explain data findings

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to perform computer data input.

Computer literacy required.

Strong organizational skills

Strong attention to detail

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
