Lab Assistant

What are we looking for in our Lab Assistant ?

The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin / Pride Health is assisting a top diagnostic organization near Calabasas, CA to identify the right person to fill a Laboratory Assistant opening.

Responsibilities

• Perform loading and unloading of lab specimens on the Hamilton pipetting instrument
• Receive specimens, sort specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform data entry

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass basic color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime if needed

Additional Notes:

• (Position 1) Sunday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm
  (Position 2) Tuesday to Saturday 8am - 4:30pm
• 3 month contract opportunity with potential to convert to a full time employee
• Pay rate without lab experience is up to $17/hr
• Pay rate with lab experience is up to $18/hr

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
