Contract: 5-week contract
Location: New York, NY 10038 (Hybrid/Remote) 
Pay Range: $40-44/Hour DOE

Brief Summary:
This role supports the design team with sketching, coloring, and creating tech packs for sports and swimwear collections. The designer will help develop brand-right, commercially viable product designs, with a focus on style, color/print, fit, and fabric. A positive attitude, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Create commercial designs aligned with brand strategy and conceptual direction
• Develop seasonal products focused on style, fit, and fabric
• Adapt designs based on feedback, refining them for finalization
• Conduct ongoing competitor research and trend analysis
• Collaborate across teams, including Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development
• Present designs to leadership and cross-functional partners
• Execute design sketches/prototypes and provide specifications for product accuracy
• Update BOMs in Centric and ensure accuracy throughout the process
• Oversee junior design talent and ensure all deliverables meet budget and timeline requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field
• 5+ years of design experience in a comparable retail environment
• Strong skills in Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite (Centric experience a plus)
• Excellent sketching skills, particularly in Illustrator
• Knowledge of tech pack creation, especially in sport and swimwear construction
• Ability to multitask and work in a hybrid schedule in NYC is highly preferred!
