Human Resources Business Partner
What are we looking for in our Human Resources Business Partner?
Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a subject matter expert in Industrial Relations for the Americas region for our client in Kankakee, IL. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. This is a 6-month contract position with possibility of extension or conversion for a high performing candidate.
Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner - Industrial Relations
Pay: $48.00 - $53.00/hour (based upon experience)
Duration: 6-month contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday // 40hrs/week (8:00am - 4:00pm)
Location: HYBRID in Kankakee, IL (3 days onsite; 2 days remote)
*While in training- 5 days per week onsite for minimum of 2 weeks
Position Overview:
As the Industrial Relations HRBP (Americas), you'll play a pivotal role within our client's HRBP Agile Team, reporting directly to the HRBP Agile Regional Lead Americas. This position carries a dual responsibility: serving as a subject matter expert in Industrial Relations for the Americas region while also acting as a senior HRBP member within a designated Squad and geographical area.
Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations:
- Provide expert advice and resolution on Industrial Relations matters, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate solutions.
- Foster strong partnerships with Regional Business, Site, and HRBP Agile Squad Leads to develop and implement Industrial Relations strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain operational excellence in Industrial Relations activities, ensuring alignment with CSL Values and business goals.
- Analyze employee insights and employment conditions to inform proactive adjustments to people programs and policies.
- Lead or participate in projects aimed at continuous improvement of Industrial Relations practices.
- Contribute regional insights to Global HRBP Agile projects and collaborate with the Employee Relations team on matters requiring IR expertise.
- Lead the strategy for collective agreement negotiations, working in partnership with HR Site Leads.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders within the assigned customer group and geographical region to develop HR operational plans aligned with business priorities.
- Provide people solutions and manage day-to-day people processes, programs, and initiatives to drive business outcomes and enhance employee experience.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to people leaders and team members on individual, team, and organizational matters.
- Help shape the organization and culture of client groups for future growth, collaborating closely with Leadership Teams to drive performance and develop future leaders.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in labor relations (Industrial Relations) and Human Resources.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build effective partnerships and drive results.
- Demonstrated expertise in Industrial Relations practices.
- Flexibility to work on-site in Kankakee, IL, for a minimum of 3 days per week, with additional on-site requirements during training.
