Product Designer

PrideNow Beaverton, OR (Onsite) Full-Time



What are we looking for in our Product Designer?

Product Designer
Contract Duration: 2 months (chance for extension)
Pay Rate Range: 40-50/hr (depending on YOE)
Hybrid in Beaverton, OR

Responsibilities:

  • Create original and innovative designs for key financial and statement models that align with brand values and design applications.
  • Work independently to develop cohesive collections, incorporating details such as construction, color, form, style, fit, graphic applications, and trims.
  • Clearly communicate design changes to support timely project completion and ensure production readiness.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional and matrix relationships, collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Display curiosity and a proactive approach to enhancing business acumen.
  • Share design expertise and product finishing knowledge across teams, influencing the development of creative skills within the department.
  • Lead design processes for assigned product categories or groups, ensuring feasibility, adherence to price points, merchandising alignment, and compliance with product creation timelines.
  • Develop and communicate a visual center for the product or silo, incorporating storytelling that aligns with the overall seasonal direction and athlete or concept themes.
  • Take an active leadership role in presenting creative strategies, product concepts, and consumer insights to both internal and external audiences.
  • Continuously enhance product and design skills to remain current within the product design profession, staying up-to-date on industry and technological advancements.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in apparel design with a strong understanding of product lines, development processes, and specific markets within the brand’s business landscape.
  • Demonstrated leadership in influencing process improvements and best practices across design calendars and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in consumer research, including client, consumer, and athlete engagement to enhance business context understanding.
  • Strategic thinking skills, with an ability to understand product relevance, positioning, timing, and cohesive collection design.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, delivering clear, concise, and thoughtful verbal, written, and visual communications.
