Land Development Project Manager

What are we looking for in our Land Development Project Manager?

Russell Tobin in search of a skilled Land Development Project Manager to join an award-winning AEC team based in the Columbus, Ohio area! This is a direct hire/permanent position with a salary in the $125k-$160k/year range.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The perfect candidate should bring design proficiency, project management acumen from concept to completion, and a civil engineering background encompassing local and state permitting, stormwater design, and substantial experience in leading projects involving earthwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently oversee a variety of projects, including occasionally handling large, more intricate projects with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality delivery while meeting project metrics.
  • Cultivate and expand client relationships, establishing yourself as their trusted partner.
  • Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors.
  • Lead or assist in developing strategy, scoping work, assessing risk, and creating budgets for projects.
  • Supervise and delegate work assignments to internal project teams and subcontractors.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies, understanding what information to provide, when, and ensuring internal or client review as needed.
  • Manage and conduct technical engineering tasks associated with land or site development, covering site planning, entrance design, stormwater management, conveyance, erosion and sediment control practices, and site grading.
  • Prepare construction plans for agency/municipal review and complete and submit various land development permit applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in land development civil-site engineering.
  • Advanced education may be considered to meet years of experience requirements.
  • Ohio P.E. preferred.
  • Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD SSA or other stormwater modeling software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Ohio state permitting/regulations.

Rate/Salary: $125k-$160k/year
