Capital Equipment Global Supply & Sourcing Manager
What are we looking for in our Capital Equipment Global Supply & Sourcing Manager ?
Our client, a leading global technology company based in Cupertino, is seeking a Procurement and Supply Chain Professional to join their CAPEX team on a contract basis.
Contract – W2 Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour DOE
Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid)
This role is responsible for determining sourcing strategy for equipment, negotiating the best total cost of ownership, ensuring on-time delivery, and managing vendor relationships.
Duties:
- Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing.
- Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet the company’s performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
- Collaborate across the organization, (Engineering, Operations, Global Supply Management teams) to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply risks that can affect product strategy.
- Optimize supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, and build should-cost models to drive best-in-class pricing for the company.
- Assess and mitigate risks to the business.
- Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team.
- Analyze complex vendor quotes data and identify errors/gaps vs approved materials pricing & MVA.
- Prepare monthly pricing summary sheets based on validated pricing results.
- Provide validated pricing /quotes for SAP uploading.
- Support monthly pricing review with data support and prepare review slides.
- Conduct pricing reconciliations between PO pricing and approved vendor pricing.
- Support materials pricing audit with assigned commodities/product families, identify discrepancies, and facilitate root cause analysis/corrective actions.
Key Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of relevant supply chain experience
- Experience in fast-paced procurement and supply chain environment.
- Knowledge of global supplier development and management in a multinational environment Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Experience and talent in negotiation.
- Ability to handle sudden setbacks in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information.
- BA/BS Degree, Masters or MBA is a plus.
