Security Specialist

What are we looking for in our Security Specialist?

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Security Analyst/Specialist to work for one of our top global tech clients in Sunnyvale, CA! 

Pay: $38-$42/hr. depending on experience

Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94086 (Hybrid)

Schedule: M-F 8a-5p

Scope:

• Investigation of shared assets via logs leveraging CSEC’s runbook.
• Identifying individual Points of Contacts from the investigations and associated those POCs to the assets and/or resources
• Coordinate with Rishab/CSEC and eDiscovery/Legal for data classification to ensure compliance is met for resources (nothing is on legal hold or needs to remain on AWS for compliance reasons)
• Track plan of record, timeline for action, and status for identified resources along with POCs
• Curating action plans for unattributed and unidentified resources to be raised to leadership for decision
• Mass follow up to POCs with instructions to migration and/or vacate resources off the shared accounts

Assets to be investigated:

• Cloudtrail Logs - Ongoing through 90 days
• Looking at event records for data to identify user/Uber individual related to resource
• S3 Buckets - 122
• EBS Snapshots - ~20,000 across all regions
• EC2 Instances - 166
• Cloudfront - 117

Requirements:

• Technical knowledge and understanding of AWS’ environment
• 3+ years of software experience
• 2+ years of AWS experience
• Specifically Cloudtrail, S3, EBS
• 2+ years of corporate experience
• Familiarity with JIRA, gSuite, Slack, Zoom
• Soft skills related to TPM capabilities
