Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland (with extensive travel)

Company: Our client is a rapidly expanding manufacturing company with operations spanning over 8 countries. With a diverse array of cultures, processes, and maturity levels resulting from acquisitions, they are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Manager to streamline and align Health and Safety (H&S) competencies and processes across divisions while preserving autonomy at individual sites.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement H&S competencies and processes that are aligned across multiple divisions.
• Maintain autonomy for site-specific H&S operations while ensuring consistency and adherence to corporate standards.
• Engage and influence at the Managing Director (MD) level to ensure buy-in and support for H&S initiatives.
• Demonstrate practical expertise in H&S management, with the ability to deploy strategies across multiple sites.
• Develop and deploy a comprehensive H&S strategy tailored to the complexities of a large, multinational organization.
• Conduct regular site visits (3 weeks per month) to validate frameworks, oversee implementation, and conduct audits (both internal and external).

Requirements:

• Proven track record in developing and deploying H&S strategies across large, complex organizations or multiple business units.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior leadership, particularly at the MD level.
• Strong practical knowledge of H&S management practices and regulations.
• Capacity to travel extensively (3 weeks per month) to various sites across different countries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and teams.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable.

Location and Travel:

• The role is based at the company's head office in Dublin, Ireland.
• Extensive travel (approximately 3 weeks per month) to various sites across more than 8 different countries is required.
