Title:  Technical Writer

Location: Redmond, WA 98052, (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Duration: 3+ months (Potential extension)

Pay Range: $50-60/hr (Depending on Experience)  

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and exceptional writing skills to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences. As a Technical Writer, individuals will play a key role in creating comprehensive and user-friendly documents.

Responsibilities:

1. Research and Understand Technical Concepts:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information on technical concepts, processes, and products.
• Conduct in-depth research to comprehend complex technical topics.

1. Create Clear and Concise Documentation:

• Develop white papers that are clear, concise, and easy to understand.
• Translate technical jargon into user-friendly content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

1. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is incorporated into documentation.

1. Review and Edit Existing Documentation:

• Review and edit existing documentation to maintain accuracy and relevance.
• Ensure documentation complies with company standards and industry best practices.

1. Stay Updated on Technological Advancements:

• Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate the latest information into documentation.

1. Manage Documentation Lifecycle:

• Organize and maintain a documentation repository, ensuring easy access and version control.
• Update documentation as necessary

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a technology-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts, software development, and IT infrastructure.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in documentation tools and software
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with graphic design tools for creating visuals to accompany documentation.
• Previous experience in cloud computing, software development, or related fields.
