Job Title: Product Systems Engineer
Location: Malmesbury (Fully onsite)
Duration: 3 Months (possible Extension)
Pay Rate: £500 per day Umbrella or £373 per day PAYE + 35 days paid holidays
Role Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Systems Engineering Contractors to join our Product Systems Engineering team to helps us deliver on some of ’s ground-breaking projects.

About the role in Product Systems Engineering
Develop products which are deliberately different and verifiably better than the competition. These solutions are increasingly complex and require closer integration of traditionally separate engineering disciplines. We’re rapidly expanding our Systems Engineering team to help us manage that complexity and ultimately get our new ideas to market sooner.
All of our Systems Engineers help us to realise this capability:
- They work at the core of our early-stage product development teams using systems engineering tools and methods to bring clarity from ambiguity.
- Translate our product vision into clear and concise user, business, and product requirements.
- Using MBSE methods to develop product architectures, decomposing the problem into digestible functional, logical, physical layers.
- Creating unambiguous useable requirements for engineers to design to.
- Work collaboratively with all our engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage trade-off studies, and resolve engineering issues.
- Lead, set the example, and coach a growing team of Systems Engineers of all levels of expertise. Coaching and mentoring exists at all levels and in all directions within the Systems Engineering team.
- Driving the Systems Engineering process and ethos into the wider company, educating other RDD employees in Systems Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
- Following a Leader-Leader mentality working as an emancipated team.
About you – what you need:
- Demonstrable experience in Systems Engineering processes and applications.
- Experienced in breaking down concepts into functional, logical, and physical architectures.
- Able to articulate product needs in the form of unambiguous and clear requirements.
- Experience in a product development environment.
- Capable of working in a flexible and autonomous manner.
- A solid grasp of MBSE including experience building SysML models using Systems Engineering Modelling Software.
- A solid grasp of Requirements Management Tools
- Experience or familiarity with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect and Siemens Teamcenter is highly desirable.
