Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)
Payrate: $45/hr. to $50/hr.
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with project management and the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team to drive efficiency and quality in our production processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing fixtures and tooling, developing work instructions, tracking action items, and completing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
Responsibilities:
- Design fixtures and tooling to optimize production processes.
- Develop comprehensive work instructions for assembly and manufacturing operations.
- Track action items and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Lead PPAP activities including PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate project updates and status reports clearly and concisely.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high-complexity environment.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software for fixture and tooling design.
- Knowledge of PPAP processes and tools, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead projects effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and process optimization.
