Senior FPGA Assessor
What are we looking for in our Senior FPGA Assessor?
Senior FPGA Assessor - Permanent - SC needed (applicants can start with BPSS)
An exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of the aerospace industry, we're looking for a Senior FPGA Assessor. In this role you will be responsible for:
Establishing and agreeing of project assurance programme, specifically associated with CEH/PEDs/Software, in the early lifecycle phases
- Performing critical reviews of the design information at the agreed lifecycle points providing constructive comments to ensure the design is compliant with applicable regulations and standards
- Identifying and ensure progress to resolution any concerns raised in the critical review
- Producing independent professional judgement statements at the appropriate certification points to support the Chief Airworthiness Engineer approvals
- Supporting the project teams, support, and service engineering organisations with the generation of risk assessments, ensuring suitable justification exists for action and the adequacy of the proposed remedial / recovery action
- Improving the independent assurance engineering capability within Air (specifically CEH/PEDs/Software) to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of engineers in a collaborative digital engineering environment
Key Experience:
- Working knowledge of RTCA DO-254 / EUROCAE ED-80 and/or RTCA DO-178 / EUROCAE ED-82 Design Assurance Guidance
- Ability to critically review design information and provide comments on them in a clear and constructive technical language
- Familiarity with safety standards such as Mil Std 882, ARP4761A
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in the independent assurance of model-based design and integration role within any lifecycle/product area
- Requirements Engineering, Configuration and Data Management, Qualification and Certification
- Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering and/or Security Engineering
- Model Based Systems Engineering, Agile / Scrum Development
