Visual Merchandising Coordinator
What are we looking for in our Visual Merchandising Coordinator?
Job Title: Visual Merchandising Coordinator
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in-office), 420 5th Ave, New York, NY 10018
Start Date: 10/01/2024
End Date: 12/31/2024 (Potential extension into 2025)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (flexible depending on workload)
Payrate: $17.86 /hour
Job Summary:
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator role provides essential assistance to the Sunglass Hut Visual Merchandising (VM) team. The team manages graphic inventory, store mapping, and coordinates new store openings, requiring a candidate with strong analytical skills and experience in inventory management and retail design.
Key Responsibilities:
Part 1: Graphic Management
- Assist the graphic management team with weekly inventory management, fulfillment reports, and billing.
- Review and monitor graphic inventory needs for new store openings on a weekly basis.
- Liaise with third-party vendors to manage online inventory platforms, address issues, and implement necessary edits.
- Coordinate reprint plans, process lists, and quantities with cross-functional teams.
- Analyze store visit data and follow up on graphic support and prop needs monthly.
Part 2: Store Mapping and Capacity Planning
- Support the team with bi-annual store mapping updates, maintaining tracking systems and organizing feedback.
- Handle communications with stores and external agencies regarding mapping amendments.
- Assist with Master Data management, including amendments, NRR (Non-Retail Requirements), and transitioning to a new platform.
- Confirm store capacity for amendment and planning requests, ensuring accuracy by reviewing photos and supporting both the internal team and external agency.
- Conduct monthly analysis and reporting on store visit data.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Conditional Formatting, and Data Analysis/Validation.
- Ability to create presentations using PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of retail environments.
- Strong data analysis and inventory management skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
