We are seeking a talented Test Engineer III to join our passionate team and contribute to the development of next-generation AR and Spatial Computing algorithms.
As a Test Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our AR/VR software applications, specifically focusing on iOS and visionOS platforms. You will be responsible for evaluating the performance of new and existing AR algorithms designed for devices equipped with LiDAR sensors. This role requires a keen interest in Computer Vision, AR/VR technologies, and a proactive attitude towards breaking and improving software.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing of iOS and visionOS applications to assess the quality of AR and Spatial Computing algorithms.
- Enhance and execute test cases to evaluate the functionality and performance of cutting-edge algorithms.
- Develop a deep understanding of AR/VR technologies to identify scenarios impacting software quality.
- Identify, document, and communicate issues to the development team, including impact on user experience and reproducibility.
- Collaborate with the development team to isolate and resolve issues, contributing to the enhancement of software quality.
- Manage tasks efficiently and support multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results
Ideal candidates possess a background in reliability testing, coupled with a degree in engineering or a related scientific field such as physics or chemistry.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent in a relevant science such as physics or chemistry.
- Proven experience in live testing, preferably in software applications or related products.
- Familiarity with mobile or VR device testing is a plus.
- Proficiency in using terminal or command line tools.
- Strong analytical skills to assess issue impact and reproducibility effectively.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about and test new software technologies.
- Exceptional organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
