Field Technician - Aerospace
What are we looking for in our Field Technician - Aerospace?
We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join one of the leading aerospace manufacturers! In this role, you will support aviation customers and aircraft manufacturers by providing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft engines. This position requires you to be within a 120-minute drive of either Teterboro Airport (NJ) or Bradley Airport (CT) and offers domestic and international travel opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of engines and modules.
- Troubleshoot and identify defects in engine components.
- Access and utilize engine data materials such as AMM, EMM, IPC, etc.
- Apply Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives, and Technical Variances when required.
- Comply with work scope instructions from Maintenance Operations Control.
- Obtain and maintain repair station inspection approval.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or GED) with 4+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul, OR Associate Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant License.
- Ability to lift engine components up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass an eye exam.
- This is a safety-sensitive position under FAA regulations, and candidates must pass a pre-employment FAA/DOT background check and drug screening.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Experience with gas turbine engines.
- Customer relations experience.
- Familiarity with engine or aircraft logbooks.
- Experience working in a FAR145 repair station.
- Proficiency in basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel.
Rate/Salary: $35-$45/hour
