What are we looking for in our Learning Experience Designer?

Russell Tobin and Associates/Pride Global is currently seeking a Learning Experience Designer local to Seattle, WA. This is a 6-month contract position that could be extended for the right candidate.

Title: Learning Experience Designer

Pay Rate: $45.00 - $49.00 /hour

Work Location: Fully remote for candidates local to Seattle, WA

40 hours/week // 5 x 8-Hour Days

Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension 

Our client's Stores L&D Team is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to create interactive and engaging learning experiences for global retail employees. In this role, you will design and develop innovative training content that supports both onboarding and professional development. You will be working with emerging AI content generation tools and developing simulations to enhance learning.

This role offers the unique opportunity to integrate cutting-edge AI tools into daily training processes. You will collaborate with a highly motivated team, contributing to projects that have a global reach, ensuring scalable, consistent training programs for all our client's Stores employees.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performance-based, learner-centered training materials utilizing eLearning modules, assessments, and interactive videos.
• Create scalable and globally applicable training programs.
• Develop tools to measure training effectiveness and success.
• Manage multiple training projects simultaneously, working independently and collaboratively.
• Use simulations and AI-driven content tools to create immersive learning experiences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design or a similar role.
• Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise 360, and experience with JavaScript for xAPI integration.
• Experience in multimedia development, including audio, video, and animation (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere).
• Proven ability to develop training materials in multiple modalities (eLearning, video, interactive content).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Education Technology, or a similar field.
• Advanced certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, or project management (e.g., CPTD, PMP).
• Strong project management skills, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Experience with VR, gamification, and other emerging technologies.
• Experience creating voice-over content for training materials.
• Demonstrated ability to assess training ROI and present results to stakeholders.
