What are we looking for in our HR Partner?

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Human Resources Partner for one of our big tech clients in New York, NY.

Job Title: Human Resources Partner

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00/hour (based upon experience)

Duration: 6-months

Schedule: Monday – Friday // 40hrs/week

Location: HYBRID - New York, NY or Seattle, WA

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Support:

  • Respond to non-routine inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Manage Employee Relations (ER) processes, including performance improvement, disciplinary actions, and exit management.
  • Provide expert consultation on HR policies, local legislation, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and ER points of contact on investigations and other ER matters.

Performance Management:

  • Partner with managers through end-to-end performance management processes.
  • Provide data-driven insights to highlight trends and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Assist in the development of separation agreements and performance management strategies.

Talent Management & People Development:

  • Guide managers on compensation planning and exception requests.
  • Support managers in navigating Talent Reviews and career development conversations.
  • Advise on training opportunities to develop both functional and managerial skills.
  • Lead career growth initiatives, including Development Plans.

HR General:

  • Act as an advocate for client's employee experience and cultural values.
  • Program-manage various people tools, processes, and educational initiatives.
  • Deliver leadership and manager training programs to enhance collective effectiveness.
  • Drive cross-functional projects aimed at improving the employee experience.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, talent management, and development initiatives.
  • Use data insights to identify trends and emerging needs, and implement innovative HR programs.
  • Collaborate across HR teams to share best practices and ensure consistency in HR operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience. (performance management and end to end employee relations investigations would be a big plus)
  • MS office and any HR software experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills, with the ability to influence and coach managers.
  • Project management and execution capabilities in a matrixed organization.
