What are we looking for in our Customer Support Specialist I?



Payrate: $21.00 /hour



Duration: Dec 02, 2024 - Apr 30, 2025 



Location:  Lafayette, CO 80026

Position Overview:


As a Customer Support Specialist I, you will play a vital role in supporting the commercial team by ensuring efficient and accurate order processing. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service experiences, maintaining sales data accuracy, and contributing to process improvements within Horizon. This position requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to build strong working relationships with the shipping and logistics teams.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing Support: Work closely with the commercial team to ensure timely and precise order processing.
  • Data Management: Update and maintain accurate sales data and information within designated software systems.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide prompt and effective responses to both internal and external customers, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to enhance the ordering process and customer service.
  • Product and Shipping Knowledge: Develop a foundational understanding of the products and shipping requirements by collaborating with the shipping and logistics teams.
  • Standard Operating Procedures Compliance: Adhere to SOPs to guarantee accuracy and timeliness in all order entries.
  • Team Collaboration: Embrace a flexible, team-oriented mindset to maintain high-quality service.
  • Project Involvement: Engage in relevant project work and other tasks as assigned by the Head of Customer Services.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage customer service responsibilities.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the life sciences industry is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to communicate effectively in a cross-functional and international team environment.
  • CRM Experience: Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is desirable.
