Job Title: Engineering Technician 6 - Architectural Focus
Location: Overland Park, KS (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire
Payrate: $50/hr. to $62/hr.
Schedule: 3 Days in office, 2 days remote

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician 6 with a focus on architectural engineering to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in architectural design and engineering. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on engineering standards, document control, and departmental procedures.
- Review project requirements and determine the correct format and contents of deliverables.
- Promote quality within projects by reviewing design inputs for consistency and compliance with codes.
- Maintain drawing control and historical records using appropriate methods established by the project.
- Apply engineering principles to develop design concepts and deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance to other professionals and assist with difficult technical assignments.
- Coordinate with design team members to exchange project information necessary for design development.
- Support field activities and communicate project design requirements, progress, and schedules.
- Assist in identifying key client interests and drivers and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns.
- Participate in developing and communicating design standards and process improvement activities.
- Provide mentoring, instruction, delegation of work, and feedback to less experienced Engineering Technicians.
- Assist in monitoring staffing levels and available skill sets for projects and identify resource needs.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 8 years of architectural experience
- Structural experience
- Revit experience
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and other relevant electronic applications
- Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, document control, and departmental policies and procedures
Education:
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
