The Marketing team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top social media organization that has an opening for a Marketing Data Analyst.

Onsite in New York, NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm EST
Pay Rate Range: $50 - $60/hour W2, based on experience
Duration: 1 year contract

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to support our marketing measurement and insights program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering business and channel-level analysis and insights, identifying trends to enable optimization, and driving strategic initiatives to identify opportunities for growth. This role requires strong data analysis and market research skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across product, marketing, data science, and data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct deep dives into campaign performance to extract key learnings and themes, communicate findings, and ensure that data insights are actionable and aligned with business objectives.
• Reporting and Visualization: Develop comprehensive reports and visualizations that clearly communicate analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside Business, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product to define problem statements, manipulate data, build analytical models, and deliver actionable insights.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement streamlined processes for data reporting and communication. Utilize analytical models to drive key decisions across leadership and the organization.
• Strategic Initiatives: Lead efforts to identify growth opportunities and conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific queries such as churn and ROI.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in data analytics roles with proficiency in SQL (Hive, MySQL, etc.) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Cross-functional Teamwork: Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams, such as Partner, Sales, Product, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Infrastructure Specialists.
• Initiative and Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain autonomy in dynamic environments.
• Navigating Ambiguity and Leading Change: Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and quickly adapt to deliver results, such as spearheading new projects, overseeing the launch of innovative products, or establishing new teams.
• Strategic Insight: Ability to provide data-driven insights and strategies to business and product teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Monetization Experience: Proven track record in leveraging data to influence monetization strategies from a product, organizational, or company-wide perspective. Experience in identifying and executing monetization opportunities that align with strategic goals.
• Project Management

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or Computer Science.
