What are we looking for in our Sourcing Specialist?

Our client, a global entertainment company, is seeking a Retail Buyer Coordinator, to play a crucial role in supporting vertically developed merchandise for stores, online sales, and wholesale partners worldwide. In this role, you will collaborate with nearly 100 team members across 6 countries, managing over 600 suppliers. Your responsibility will include ensuring that production management and responsible sourcing efforts are executed seamlessly across multiple categories within the division.

Pay Rate Range: $27.00 to $31.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule: Monday through Thursday in office and Friday Remote - 8am to 5pm EST

Location: Kissimmee, FL

Duration: 6 month W-2 contract position

Responsibilities:  

• Manage the aggregation and acceptance of orders across all business units.
• Oversee production tracking, reporting, and in-season management, responding to changing business needs.
• Effectively communicate and manage vendor timelines, production back-off schedules, weekly progress reports, and shipment troubleshooting for impacted regions.
• Own and manage in-season requests, including push, chase, and cancel requests. Communicate and troubleshoot any production delays and challenges.
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports such as production timelines, time and action calendars, and status updates.
• Leverage product knowledge to address partner needs and ensure strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Product Development, Product Design, Business, or Supply Chain (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of related experience, ideally in specialty retail or consumer products.
• Strong proficiency in working with data and a passion for compiling clear, concise, and logical reports.
• Exposure to Sourcing, Production, and/or Logistics (preferred).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with manufacturers and other partners.
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple SKUs and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building credibility and trust with diverse partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A focus on achieving continuous improvement, efficiency, and scalability.
• Flexible, adaptable, and eager to grow within the organization.
