Fraud Investigator
What are we looking for in our Fraud Investigator?
Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Fraud Investigator to work for one of our top global tech clients! The Fraud team is seeking a Strategy & Operations Senior Associate to focus on reducing fraud costs and building solutions to protect the platform from fraudsters.
Pay: $40-$48/hr. depending on experience
Location: Remote- US (PST or MST)
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will become well-versed in user behavior across three core audiences and will be responsible for investigating fraud cases and implementing long-term solutions. This role strikes a balance between maintaining user experience and keeping bad actors off the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Fraud Management: Establish and refine the company's strategic approach to fraud by working with operations, engineering, and analytics teams to protect users from fraudulent activity.
- Fraud Detection & Analysis: Conduct end-to-end analysis to identify new fraud vectors and improve the experience of genuine users by minimizing fraudulent interactions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to establish goals and develop strategic programs aimed at reducing fraud.
- Data-Driven Experimentation: Use data to conduct experiments that reduce fraud while fostering growth.
Core Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, investment banking, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams, meet goals, and navigate project dependencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize insights and develop actionable strategies.
- Problem-solving abilities with a strong analytical mindset, proficient in SQL, and expert-level skills in Excel (including managing complex spreadsheets).
