IT Instructional Designer

What are we looking for in our IT Instructional Designer?

Job Title: IT Instructional Designer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ months
Pay Range:$30/hr-$40/hr (DOE)

Responsibilities include applying various design and learning strategies, with emphasis on virtual, self-paced, and instructor led learning. You will apply innovative and creative strategies including but not limited to web-based tutorials, audio and video vignettes, simulations using various technology tools, and instructor-led materials. In this role, you may act as a project manager over smaller efforts or lead larger design efforts with leadership support and collaboration. You may also have responsibility over specific program(s) within your operational area of support.
Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing instructor led (live and virtual) and elearning technical / software training
  • 5+ years of experience working in an instructional design role
  • Proficient using Articulate Storyline and 360
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficient in building engaging blended learning curriculums
  • Excellence in conducting learning needs analysis (ADDIE/SAM Model)
  • Mastery in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and SME in analyzing training needs
  • Work samples required

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience designing and developing technical and/or software training (live and virtual)
  • Intermediate proficiency or better in SharePoint administration
  • Intermediate proficiency or better with Captivate and Camtasia
  • LMS administration and content management
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting.
