What are we looking for in our Leasing Consultant?
Payrate: $58/hr
Contract Duration: 1 year
Location: Remote
Job Summary: The Leasing Consultant will play a critical role in supporting a renewable energy project by establishing Land Agreements with landowners in targeted areas. Working closely with the Development Manager and Real Estate Specialist, the Leasing Consultant will manage landowner interactions, gather and verify contact information, secure necessary real estate documentation, and facilitate the execution of agreements for solar, wind, or energy storage leases, easements, or purchase options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review provided spreadsheets and maps with target areas, identifying initial landowner information.
- Gather and verify additional landowner contact information, including phone numbers, emails, and mailing addresses.
- Prioritize tasks in coordination with the Development Manager to align with project needs.
- Engage landowners, both virtually and in person, to present and discuss Land Agreements.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with the Development Manager, Real Estate Specialist, and other team members.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of real estate documentation, including title commitments, deeds, and trust certificates.
- Facilitate the execution of Land Agreements and provide necessary landowner documentation for agreement drafting.
- Attend public hearings and other liaison events as needed, leveraging relationships and landowner knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Real Estate Documentation: Proficient in managing real estate documents, such as title commitments and operating agreements.
- Leasing Expertise: Knowledgeable in lease agreements, particularly in the context of renewable energy projects.
- Microsoft Excel and Word: Basic proficiency in Excel for tracking and managing data, as well as Word for document preparation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively and educate landowners on the specifics of Land Agreements.
- Liaison Skills: Ability to represent EGP in interactions with landowners and the public, demonstrating professionalism and clarity.
Preferred Skills:
- Language: Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
This remote role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who excels in building landowner relationships and managing documentation essential to successful renewable energy leases.
Rate/Salary: $58/hr
