PrideNow is hiring for an Machine Operator in Saint Paul, MN 55127 for a proven leader in the Medical Devices Manufacturing Industry.

Location : Saint Paul, MN 55127, US

Duration: Permanent

Salary range:  $21-$23/hr.

 

1st shift - Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:00pm - $20-$21.00/hour

2nd shift - 3:30pm-1:00am Monday-Thursday - $21-$22.05/hour

3rd/weekend shift - 5:30 PM-5:30A M Friday-Sunday - $22-$23.52/hour

Summary:

Strongly preferred that candidates have 1-2 years of experience in medical device manufacturing

Summary:           

  • This position requires this associate to have 1 to 2 years’ experience with the rotary presses in this Value Stream and/or have attended a technical school to gain this experience; the associate must also have good technical skills.
  • The position requires the Associate to have basic setup skills, run equipment and follow work instructions.  They will have a working understanding of the operation and safety requirements for converting presses within the Value Stream.  This position is expected to have full knowledge of product quality, processes and procedures.  Associate must be able to meet production schedules.  

Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Able to set up and run basic jobs with little or no assistance utilizing press diagrams, video’s and work instructions.  
  • Communicate rate deficiencies to management per prescribed procedures.
  • Perform quality inspections per Quality Department procedures and Engineering work instructions and document results.
  • Responsible for accurate entries in the computer time clock system.
  • Responsible for accurate documentation of inspection.
  • Positively contribute to company’s safety, quality and production goals.
  • Responsible for reporting to Management any unsafe working conditions.
  • Able to understand and accurately interpret prints.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible leading a team of associates that may be assigned to your press to ensure that they are inspecting, catching, stacking, bagging etc. to meet the requirements of specific project you are running.
  • Responsible for evaluating the team and making adjustments to what they are doing to efficiently process product on press.
  • Responsible for escalating issues to the technical lead, lead or advisor if associates assigned to your project are not performing the duties you have assigned.
  • Responsible for escalating when material usage or time allotted for set up are being exceeded.

  • Accountable for accuracy of all electronic and hard copy documentation per Quality Department procedures.

Training/Education/Experience

  • High School education or equivalent
  • 1 or more years Rotary Press experience and or technical training from accredited trade school.
  • Able to accurately understand and interpret basic prints.
  • Proficient PC skills, Microsoft office products.
  • Medical manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Lean manufacturing experience a plus to include 5s, S.M.E.D., continuous improvement.

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
  • Ability to Problem solve and troubleshoot basic press issues
  • Ability to escalate issues, ask for assistance and know when to do so.
  • Can speak, understand, and read English.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Organizational skills
  • Extreme attention to detail with paperwork
