Safety Supervisor
What are we looking for in our Safety Supervisor?
Russell Tobin is working with a prominent global biologics manufacturer, known for its dedication to enhancing the well-being of patients and staff. They are seeking to hire a Maintenance Safety Supervisor. Reporting to the Senior Manager, who will support the team in ensuring the highest levels of Safety compliance are applied in the field, within a busy, safety-focused environment
This is a 12-month contract with scope for extension.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure team compliance with regulatory safety requirements, focusing on the highest standards.
- Coordinate safety activities within the operating unit to improve EOHSS compliance continuously.
- Support incident/accident management system compliance and investigations.
- Foster a psychologically safe working environment, promoting a safety culture.
- Facilitate safety-related forums, risk assessments, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring staff wellbeing and safe practices.
.Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a recognized qualification or be working towards CMIOSH in Occupational Health and Safety.
- 6-7 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally have experience as an EHS professional in biologics, pharma, chemical, or food manufacturing.
- Proficient in auditing, preferably with ISO9001, 14001, 45001 standards, and possess in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, auditing, incident investigation, prioritizing safety, quality, and reliability.
