Event Manager

PrideNow Washington, DC (Onsite) Full-Time



What are we looking for in our Event Manager ?

Event Manager
Onsite in Washington D.C.
Pay rate: 35 - 42/hr (depending on YOE)
Contract: 1 year

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Employee Experience team to develop and execute a comprehensive calendar of site-wide events, including meetups, all-hands meetings, and other company programs across multiple buildings.
  • Design and create communications, marketing materials, and digital assets for various events and programs.
  • Oversee planning, logistics, and execution of local events within an approved budget, working closely with the CX team.
  • Coordinate and support the new hire experience, including local office welcome events.
  • Gather attendee feedback, conduct event debriefs, and compile data to inform future event planning and improvements.
  • Support event committees and programming by assigning tasks to participating team members and ensuring task completion.
  • Maintain and regularly update internal resources, including a site wiki and microsite.
  • Manage purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and statement of work creation, collaborating closely with the Finance team.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in event planning within an organization, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Budget Management: Experience managing specified budgets and performing financial planning.
  • Data-Driven Problem Solving: Proficiency in using data for problem-solving and event optimization.
  • Event Resources Knowledge: Familiarity with venues, activities, and resources relevant to event planning.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working within a tech industry or startup environment preferred.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build relationships with diverse teams and work cross-functionally.
  • Ambiguity Management: Comfortable working through ambiguity and adapting to changes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Keynote, Outlook, Google Suite, and internal event management tools (e.g., Splash).
  • Familiarity with Team Needs: Knowledge of engineering and tech teams, with the ability to tailor initiatives to support their interests and needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively as part of a cross-regional team.
