What are we looking for in our Production Manager?
Production Operations Manager
Russell Tobin has partnered with a leading specialty manufacturer to add to their production team in the Los Angeles/Torrence area! This is a direct hire/permanent position with a salary range of $120k-$135k/year.
Position Summary
Oversee all production operations at the manufacturing facility. Manage resources efficiently to ensure timely, cost-effective production of quality products, meeting customer satisfaction across the entire product line.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or relevant technical field.
- Minimum of five years' manufacturing experience, preferably in resin and gel coat.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO9000.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support plant manager in promoting employee safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance.
- Assist in managing raw material inventories for efficient production.
- Supervise shift supervisors to achieve production objectives.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality system procedures.
- Collaborate with QC department to maintain quality standards throughout production processes.
- Ensure timely and economical shipment of products to customers.
- Maintain positive interaction with staff and lead by example.
- Establish performance standards and hold production personnel accountable.
- Adhere to company's Progressive Disciplinary Policy guidelines as necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk and use office equipment for prolonged periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs on the plant floor.
- Proficiency in using computer, telephone, and office equipment.
- Lift up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Occasional travel to other work sites may be required.
Rate/Salary: $120k-$135k/year
