Employment Type: Contract/Onsite

Location: San Diego, CA

Pay rate: $30-$35/hr. DOE

Responsibilities:

Developing requirements for tax-compliant product releases, based on performing tasks of basic complexity, such as but not limited to:

• Analyzing tax law, form changes, and instructions
• Establishing requirements for tax flow and calculation changes
• Working closely with team to optimize products for our consumers
• Identifying dependencies on E2E (federal/state) tax situation
• Reviewing screens & editorial/help to ensure tax requirements are accurately reflected
• Creating and reviewing test case scenarios
• Programming in proprietary language may be required, training will be provided

Required Skills:

• Ability to learn and use technology/ tools is a must.
• Ability to research technical tax law in multiple states and at the Federal level.
• Multiple years in tax prep are a plus but not required.

Requirements:

• First preference a local candidate.
• Tax Law and Tax Preparation
