Warehouse Manager
What are we looking for in our Warehouse Manager?
Russell Tobin has partnered with a premier organization in the medical device space to add to their growing team! This is a permanent/direct hire position located in the White Bear Lake/Vadnais Heights area with a salary in the $85k-$100k/year range.
Summary: Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the storage and distribution of materials and products using lean methodologies.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage Warehouse Activities:
- Oversee associates engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products and materials.
- Train and coach new associates on shipping, receiving, and inventory fundamentals.
- Evaluate and manage outgoing sales orders to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of Level I and Level 2 incoming inspections.
- Ensure necessary materials are available for Value Streams to meet job deadlines.

Inventory and Storage Management:
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Handle offsite material storage and coordination.
- Inspect warehouse conditions and order maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Schedule and conduct warehouse cycle counts to ensure accurate inventories.
- Locate and isolate expired and damaged materials with nonconformances.

Operational Efficiency:
- Coordinate 5S events with each Value Stream to support production goals.
- Manage and perform monthly customer reports and physical inventory audits.
- Evaluate freight costs to ensure optimal service and cost reduction.
- Prepare and meet dollar variance goals for quarterly inventory audits.
- Report daily shipping and receiving metrics.

Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain safety improvements within the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines for retention and development of A, B, and C players.
- Ensure all required learning and development for self and direct reports is current.

Communication and Coordination:
- Respond to questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
- Communicate with other teams regarding discrepancies in shipment or material.
Accountabilities:
- Maintain safety improvements within the warehouse.
- Achieve inventory accuracy and on-time delivery goals.
- Manage performance of direct associates.
- Meet assigned project goals.
- Achieve successful work habit verifications with no findings.
Training/Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse environment.
- Previous supervisory and inventory control experience.
- Experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
- Strong ERP system experience, preferably with Epicor software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated success in scheduling warehouse cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Proven track record of accurate and timely communication with other teams regarding shipment or material discrepancies.
Rate/Salary: $85k-$100k/year
