Production Accounting Analyst

What are we looking for in our Production Accounting Analyst ?

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Production Accounting Analyst to work for our client in the retail industry. Apply now for consideration!

Contract: 4 Months

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Pay Range: 36-42/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Input and analyze Production budgets and provide comparisons leveraging the locked budgets and cost reports of previous productions of a similar scope.
• Assist in tracking and analyzing the various revisions to the Production Budget until it is officially locked. This will also include ensuring budgets are properly forwarded to IT or loaded into database/ new programs
• Ability to look for trends and norms across budgets and provide suggestions for ways to improve schedules in database/IT programs that analyze this.
• Assist in tracking spend across various TV Movies/Series/unscripted programming.
• Assist in reviewing cash flows.
• Maintain organized record keeping, including tracking and filing all start up documentation required for a production to be funded as well as updating various schedules for the Production Finance department.
• Assist in preparing ad hoc reports and analyses when needed.
• Assist in coordinating meetings with other departments for budget reviews etc.
• Provide support to the team during the onboarding process of new productions (banking set up, software set up etc.).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a business related major and / or 2 years’ experience working in accounting or production finance
• Minimum 2 years of production accounting and/or film/TV finance experience (i.e. accounting background in the film or TV industry) desired.
• Knowledge of applicable guild rules in connection with both domestic and international residuals with respect to made for Basic Cable television movies. SAG-AFTRA, WGA, WGC, DGA, DGC, UPCP/ACTRA desired
