Title: Risk Analyst

Location: Los Angeles CA /Reno NV / Plano TX

Pay rate: $20- $24 /hour DOE.

Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled and engaged individual with a passion for Fraud and Financial Analysis. The ideal candidate is passionate about evaluating the financial stability of small businesses to stay one step ahead of financial losses, identifying fraud risk using key data indicators and investigation, while protecting and minimizing the impact for our customers. An understanding of financial risk behaviors and patterns, and financial records, such as invoices, balance sheets, bank statements, fraud indicators, and investigations is mandatory for this role.

Duties:

• Applies defined procedures to independently investigate, analyze, and resolve queued fraud and financial risk issues.
• Makes outbound calls to customers to validate payment transactions.
• Writes complete, succinct, and accurate case notes.
• Reviews other risk agent’s work to either approve or provide feedback.
• Provide empathetic, accurate, and efficient resolutions to the most complex and escalated customers.
• Handles questions or escalations on suspected fraud from other business units.

Requirement

• Must be able to work overtime as well as Saturdays and most holidays.
• Experience in risk mitigation within the payments industry (3-5 years preferred) with the ability to identify the behaviors and signs of risky financial transactions or accounts.
• Excellent research and investigative skills.
• Proficient use of technology with exceptional internet research skills.
• Ability to make independent and sound decisions and think on your feet in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to partner and work seamlessly across the team to effectively document and share problems, opportunities, and solutions. Heavy data entry skills.
• Knowledge of fraud behaviors, financial risk, and credit card disputes to understand potential Merchant risk behavior.

Education:   

• High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in (Business, Finance, or Economics preferred) or equivalent experience.
