Qualitative UX Researcher

What are we looking for in our Qualitative UX Researcher ?

The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top social media organization that has an opening for a remote Qualitative UX Researcher.

100% Remote
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm PST
Pay Rate Range: $60 - $70/hour W2, based on experience
Duration: 1 year contract

Duties:               

• Conduct qualitative research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodologies (this could look like in-depth interviews, diary studies, focus groups, concept testing, or usability testing)
• Own research projects from beginning to end (refining study goals, constructing a research plan, recruiting, gathering data, synthesizing learnings, and socializing insights)
• Proactively communicate and share your 2 research findings with product teams and other audiences in compelling, actionable, and engaging ways
• Align on priorities with your lead research partner & cross-functional partners (product management, design, engineering, and data science).
• Collaborate with other researchers to build upon knowledge and synthesize perspectives
• Triangulate learnings from multiple sources (not just research you’ve executed), including market research findings and behavioral data

Skills: 

• 2-3+ years’ experience designing and conducting end-to-end product research
• Experience with conducting evaluative research, both conceptual and in-production
• Strong ability in tying research insights to product implications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Can-do attitude with a bias for action and a focus on impact
• Product research experience at a consumer tech company
• Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment
• Familiarity operating in environments that lean heavily on experimentation and quantitative data
• Previous experience with Growth teams is preferred
