Usability Researcher

PrideNow Redmond, WA (Onsite) Full-Time



What are we looking for in our Usability Researcher ?

The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top social media organization that has an opening for a remote Usability Researcher.

100% Remote
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm PST
Pay Rate Range: $40 - $50/hour W2, based on experience
Duration: 5+ weeks contract

Responsibilities

  • Deeply collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to plan and conduct UX research
  • Contribute your research perspectives throughout the product design process to build user empathy and guide product direction
  • Identify and prioritize research questions and methodologies to deliver research insights that influence product design
  • Design and execute studies using a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Communicate research insights through written reports and live presentations in clear, concise, and compelling ways
  • Collaborate with other user researchers to leverage each other’s work across the studio

    Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills: Ability to translate insights into research reports and recommendations; ability to present research findings in clear and compelling ways
  • Knowledge and experience across a range of UX research methodologies, including usability studies, interviews, and surveys
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time

    Education/Experience:
  • 2+ years UX research experience required
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines (design, engineering) and across teams; ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team

    Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
    1. Minimum 2 years experience with mixed methods usability testing experience
    2. Minimum 2 years experience with conducting interviews, usability tests, and surveys
    3. Minimum 2 years experience with quantitative analysis tools (UserZoom, Qualtrics, etc.)

    Candidates must have a link to their portfolio included on their resume to be considered for this position. The best portfolio will highlight the candidate’s previous experience with mixed methods UX research.
