Supplier Quality Engineer

What are we looking for in our Supplier Quality Engineer?

Russell Tobin has partnered with a leading specialty manufacturer in the Eden Prairie/Bloomington area on a contract-to-hire role! This role is integral to supporting the continued growth of the organization and will be a key member of the Supplier Quality team.

This is a contract-to-hire role with an expected pay rate of $45-$55/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to cultivate a robust supply base.
• Lead Supplier Quality meetings, resolving supplier issues, and driving continuous improvement.
• Partner with Supply Chain for sourcing, qualification, and development of suppliers.
• Work closely with Engineering and Operations throughout New Product Development to ensure quality is integrated into parts and processes.
• Manage the new part validation process, including FAI and incoming inspection requirements.
• Develop Supplier Scorecard, track KPIs, and collaborate with suppliers on improvement plans.
• Conduct technical reviews of new and existing components with suppliers and Engineering.
• Regularly audit and assess suppliers’ processes, including occasional travel.
• Serve as a quality leader within the organization, participating in the Material Review Board and supporting certification audits.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Industries as a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of GD&T and statistical analysis.
• Experience with Non-Conforming Materials Control, Corrective Actions, and Design for Manufacturability.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Proficiency in Minitab, MS Excel, and Power BI.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Project Management skills.
• Experience with MRP Systems (JDE or SAP).

Rate/Salary: $45-$55/hour
