Payroll Administrator

PrideNow Los Angeles, CA (Onsite) Full-Time



What are we looking for in our Payroll Administrator ?

Our client, a global leader in music-based entertainment, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to work a hybrid schedule in Woodland Hills, CA.

Pay Rate Range: $26.00 to $31.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm - on site

Location: Hybrid - Woodland Hills, CA

Duration: 5 month contract role with an opportunity for permanent work for the right candidate! 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile, track, and enter payroll data into the payroll system, including hours worked, vacation, personal and holiday hours, taxes, and union dues.
  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll following established procedures.
  • Review wage calculations and audit timekeeping records, correcting errors to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Audit new hires, terminations, retro transactions, wage garnishments, and tax setups for accuracy.
  • Validate data regarding pay rate changes, address changes, and direct deposits.
  • Handle sensitive employee data with discretion.
  • Prepare and issue manual checks as necessary.
  • Process, review, and audit automated reports to ensure accuracy and address any discrepancies.
  • Facilitate audit requests and prepare special reports as assigned.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve payroll-related questions and issues via our People Connect portal (ServiceNow).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires an Associate’s degree in a related field. 
  • Experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking or similar systems preferred.
  • Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) designation preferred.
  • Strong multitasking abilities while maintaining high-quality work.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to make independent decisions based on limited information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Significant knowledge of payroll systems, FLSA, and federal/state laws related to payroll. 
  • Customer service-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience with audits and familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus.
