Russell Tobin + Associates is currently seeking a Certified Trainer for our client in Westborough, MA. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience. This is a long term 24-month contract!
Job Title: Certified Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist
Pay: $55.00 - 57.00/hour (based upon experience)
Duration: 24 month contract (2 years)
Schedule: Monday – Friday // 40hrs/week
Location: Onsite in Westborough, MA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Trainer with a background in Athletic Training (ATC) to support our client's injury prevention program. In this position, you will be part of the onsite Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Team reporting directly to the Site Safety Manager. You will be responsible for delivering training and educational programs focused on injury prevention and management, ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate associates on ergonomic practices and injury prevention techniques.
- Proactively analyze tasks for potential ergonomic and safety issues, conducting biomechanical and ergonomic assessments.
- Provide first aid care to injured employees and determine the need for referrals to outside medical providers.
- Maintain accurate records of first aid care provided to associates.
- Lead daily stretching routines at “start-up” meetings to promote physical well-being among associates.
- Educate associates on proper techniques to prevent soft tissue injuries and optimize body mechanics.
- Evaluate trends in soft tissue injuries and develop training initiatives to address identified trends.
- Collaborate with the safety team and senior leadership to provide daily activity logs and monthly analyses of onsite incidents, along with recommendations for injury reduction.
- Offer accommodation recommendations related to job placements for employees with medical restrictions.
- Spend frequent time on the warehouse floor to engage with associates and managers, providing coaching on observed at-risk work habits.
Required Skills:
- Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association or equivalent State Certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Valid certification in CPR at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).
