Senior Finance Analyst (Remote)
What are we looking for in our Senior Finance Analyst (Remote)?
Our client, a large autonomous vehicle company, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst on a remote basis.
Contract – W2 Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $55.00 - $68.00 per hour DOE
Job Description:
The Senior Analyst, Finance Insights will be the focal point for collecting, analyzing, and managing data from multiple sources within the organization to support the finance department's needs. They will be responsible for creating and managing reports and dashboards in various business intelligence tools to provide valuable insights to stakeholders. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will collaborate closely with IT teams, including data science and operational technology to establish an efficient support model for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from diverse sources to bolster finance teams' decision-making processes. Ensuring the quality, security, and compliance of data used for financial reporting will also be a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data from various sources (data warehouse, finance systems) within the organization to support the finance department's decision-making processes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and develop solutions that address their needs while adhering to best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure the quality, security, and compliance of data being used for financial reporting by implementing and maintaining rigorous data governance practices and protocols.
- Manage master data elements, such as chart of accounts, customer information, product data, and organizational hierarchies, to ensure consistency and standardization across finance systems and reports
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to verify the accuracy, and reliability of financial data. Addressing any data quality issues or discrepancies.
- Perform ad hoc analyses, generate reports, and create presentations for business and finance partners.
- Create and manage reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable insights into financial performance and trends.
- Collaborate closely with business partners to review results, identify risks, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new solutions based on business requirements to enhance financial reporting and analysis processes.
Basic requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, or a related field
- Proficiency in using data analytics and reporting tools, such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of database management concepts and experience working with ETL processes.
- Ability to write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data effectively.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices for ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, and outliers in data and draw meaningful conclusions to support decision-making
