Test Data Specialist (EDI)
What are we looking for in our Test Data Specialist (EDI)?
Job Title: Test Data Specialist
Duration: 4+ months
Location: Remote (once a month might have to visit on site, based on need)
Rate: $48 - $56/hr on w2 (Depend on experience)
Required Skills:
Key technologies: Healthcare EDI (834/837), SQL Server, Python
Nice to haves: JSON, XML, API experience
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage data for all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle to support testing activities.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and provisioning test data for Vendor Managed and Legacy applications.
- Identify and define test data needs based on business requirements.
- Extract, import, and export test data in various databases and file formats.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on test data for testing and development teams.
- Design and implement test data process improvements, including automation.
- Manage test data challenges and provide guidance, training, and mentoring to team members.
- Collaborate with Governance & Standards Lead to develop reusable templates for documenting test data requirements.
- Ensure adherence to test data policies and strategies to synchronize data across different systems.
- Perform data auditing activities and assist with ongoing governance and data architecture processes.
- Work with Test Lead to ensure test data requirements are met and assist in defect triage related to test data inconsistencies.
- Partner with management to define and execute the test data management strategy roadmap.
- Support functional test planning, design, test data preparation, and execution activities.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues related to test data inconsistencies.
- Coordinate with other Enterprise teams to acquire/provision test data required for planned testing.
- Validate data consistency in test environments and formulate test data backup plans.
- Work on special projects as requested by management.
