DEI Coordinator
What are we looking for in our DEI Coordinator?
A reputable Law Firm, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services across a wide range of practice areas. With a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we strive to foster an inclusive work environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents, based out of Washington DC area, is looking for a seasoned DEI Coordinator to join their Learning and Development team.
Title: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator
Location: Washington DC/ New York
Work Schedule: Hybrid- 3 days onsite
Salary: Starting with a base range of $80k with benefits like Dental insurance, paid leaves, etc
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and oversee programs and initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm.
- Create training programs to educate employees on topics such as unconscious bias, cultural competence, and inclusive leadership.
- Build and maintain relationships with external organizations focused on diversity and inclusion. Represent the firm at DEI-related events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Delivers DEI learning programs internally and for client audiences; develops “train-the-trainer” programs to develop facilitation skills of others in the organization.
- Collaborates with Human Resources, Professional Development, Wellness, and the Office of the General Counsel and other internal partners to assess DEI learning & development in the context of the firm's broader learning & development offerings and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum 2-5 years of Experience in similar role with law firm
- Deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and best practices.
