Cluster Financial Controller
What are we looking for in our Cluster Financial Controller?
Our client is a leading hospitality group dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences across our portfolio of hotels. Due to restructuring, they are seeking to hire a Cluster Financial Controller who will have responsibility for 5 Dublin city center hotels.
As a Cluster Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and success of their hotels. You will oversee the finance function, driving cost efficiencies, maintaining rigorous controls, and fostering a culture of financial acumen throughout the organization. Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, you will collaborate closely with General Managers and department heads to achieve their financial objectives while upholding the highest standards of reporting and compliance.
Commercial Focus: oversees cost analysis and identifies avenues for savings across hotels, collaborates with General Managers to align financial objectives with operational KPIs, and guides departments to enhance profitability. Additionally, they ensure payroll performance monitoring, forecast accuracy, and conduct conversion analysis to optimize revenue stream.
People Focus: collaborates with General Managers to set financial targets, designs training initiatives to improve financial literacy among non-financial managers, recruits and trains finance team members to enhance performance, and cultivates a positive work environment through approachability and supportiveness.
Controls and Compliance: Controller ensures the maintenance of robust financial controls, coordinates audit processes, leads month-end procedures, supervises payroll and credit control, and contributes to the ongoing enhancement of financial procedures and controls.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance leadership roles.
- Experience in the hospitality or similar fast paced industry.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving cost efficiencies and maximizing profitability.
- Ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team in a dynamic environment.
