What are we looking for in our Sr. Change Management Specialist?

Job Post: Sr. Change Management Specialist
Position Type: Contract to Hire | 3 months 
Location: Eden Prarie, MN
Work Hours: ~8am to 5pm CT
Pay: $45 - $50 / hour

Position Description:

As a Sr. Change Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in guiding our organization through significant changes. You will develop and implement comprehensive change management plans, ensuring smooth transitions and successful adoption of new processes and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute change management plans including:
    • Communications plans
    • Rewards and recognition plans
    • Change champion plans
    • Training plans
    • Organizational readiness plans
    • Hyper-care go-live support plans
  • Empower change champions, train employees, and ensure the organization adapts to changes effectively.
  • Coordinate activities with the Project Management, Tech, and Learning & Development and Communications teams.
  • Conduct stakeholder analyses, research audience needs, and select appropriate communication channels.
  • Manage change projects, measure effectiveness, and apply lessons learned to future initiatives.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with key stakeholders to inform change management strategies.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Senior Vice President and global team (~42 members).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and business partners (~93 members across different divisions).
  • Coordinate with the Director of Project Management and team (~4 members).
  • Support the enterprise rollout of operating models and technologies (~450,000 employees).
  • Partner with Value Enablement's Senior Director, Director of Learning & Development, Associate Director of Communications, and Communications team (~10 members).

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • Experience in delivering change management within large, global organizations.
  • Background in Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety programs.
  • Experience in journalism, broadcasting, social media, and related marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in human-centric design processes and methodologies.

Required Skills/Attributes:

  • 3+ years of experience in:
    • Communicating with brevity, AP Style grammar, and visual digestibility.
    • Articulating enterprise purpose.
    • Engaging across multiple departments and grade levels in matrixed environments.
    • Interviewing, reading body language, and synthesizing information.
    • Organizational, integrated, and transformational change management.
    • Emotional intelligence.
    • Project management, marketing, communications, and training.
