What are we looking for in our Project Engineer?
Exciting Career Opportunity: Project Engineer in the Biopharmaceutical Industry in Dublin - 12 months contract - €49/hour pay rate.
We are seeking an innovative and driven Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the biopharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will support Senior Project Managers in the execution of large value projects or independently manage multiple smaller projects. The projects encompass a range of critical initiatives including manufacturing process projects supporting tech transfers, plant optimizations, lab equipment upgrades, and comprehensive projects across manufacturing and utilities sectors.
Role Overview: The Project Engineer will play a key role in shaping our strategic goals and transforming our facilities into a top-tier biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. Reporting to the Projects Programme Manager, this role involves substantial engagement with senior management and emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure key project deliverables are met, focusing on safety, financial management, schedule, and scope across various projects.
- Maintain compliance with engineering best practices, organizational policies, regulations, and codes.
- Collaborate closely with Global Engineering, EHS, and Procurement teams to align support for project deliverables.
- Manage project lifecycles according to strict stage-gate principles.
- Lead and support project teams, clarifying end-user requirements, developing project scope, and managing budgets.
- Utilize SAP and other budgeting tools for financial management, including making cash flow projections.
- Design project solutions in accordance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Use planning tools effectively to maintain schedules and manage external planning and inspections.
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and ensure robust action plans.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies and optimizing equipment and system installations.
- Drive innovation in project design and execution using operational excellence tools.
- Manage the start-up and commissioning of project equipment and systems.
- Coordinate the engineering support of validation activities as required.
- Ensure a thorough project close-out as per established processes.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
- A degree - Engineering or science-related
- Demonstrated understanding of the project management process, programming, scope development, design development, implementation, project closeout
- 2 years plus working in a regulated / GMP industry such as Pharma, Medical devices, food production
- Experience working in a large multinational company
What’s Offered:
- 12-month contract with potential for extension.
- Pay rate - €49/hour
- Hybrid work model (3 days per week in Dublin 15 office).
