Job Title - Senior System Administrator
Job Type - 2-Month Contract (Possibly Extend)
Job Location - 100% REMOTE
Pay Range - $50/hr - $70/hr depends on experience
Job Description
Summary
We are looking for a (Contract) Senior System Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of Array's computer systems, software, and servers. Important to note that Array is a Onprem environment split between Linux and Windows, this person MUST be an expert (No Training Required) in windows sys admin. They will need to come in and help clear up a backlog in <2 months. Person must be in the US and be able to come in and conduct a thorough assessment of the current Windows on-premises environment. Document the existing systems, configuration, and infrastructure… Identify areas of concern, potential improvements and any backlog items.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator managing both Windows and Linux based
- Servers (Must be an expert in WINDOWS SYS ADMIN – (NO TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN)
- 4+ years of experience with VMWare
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Failover Clustering
- Strong experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and Linux
- operating systems
- Detail-oriented and able to analyze data in order to quickly and creatively solve problems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to:
- Install, configure, and maintain virtual and physical servers and configure hardware,
- peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and
- project/operational requirements
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
- Deploy applicable server patches and perform system backups
- Provide Activity Directory management, including managing user and computer accounts
- Assist with creating scripts to monitor systems, diagnostics, resolving issues, and automating
- routine tasks
- Provide support for device management including image development, application packaging
- and deployment
- Configure systems for high availability including strategies for back-up and recovery, failover,
- load balancing, and full redundancy
- Perform systems & firmware vulnerability patch management and other tasks to main
- security compliance
- Respond to security events on an as-needed basis
- Generate ideas on how to improve system administration techniques
